Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the Indian community in Tokyo, Japan on Monday. Modi is in Japan on a two-day visit to attend the India-Japan summit.
In his talk to the Indian community, Modi said "India is going through a massive transformative phase today".
He added that the "world is appreciating India for its efforts towards services towards humanity".
Modi said India is making "tremendous progress" on its digital infrastructure and that 1 GB of data today is cheaper than a small bottle of cold drink.
"Broadband connectivity is reaching villages, over 100 crore mobile phones are active in India, 1 GB is cheaper than a small bottle of cold drink," Modi said, adding that "this data is becoming the tool for service delivery".

Modi added that India is making quality products not only for India but also the world. And that India is "rapidly moving towards being no. 1 in mobile phones manufacturing".

And he repeated his August 15 promise to send an Indian into space by 2022.
"Last year our scientists created record by launching over 100 satellites into space simultaneously. We sent Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan at very low expense. India is preparing to send Gaganyaan into space by 2022. It'll be Indian in all ways and one travelling in it will also be an Indian."
