He threatened that there would be severe consequences for the whole world over Kashmir, especially if a nuclear war takes place.
In a tweet, Roemer tagged Imran's opinion piece and said that the US Should continue to back India.

Tim Roemer was the American ambassador to India from 2009 to 2011 during the leadership of President Barack Obama.

He oversaw several policies increasing cooperation between India and the United States.
One of the key policies was the counterterrorism cooperation initiative with India which focussed on areas such as money laundering, terror-financing and border security.
