'I didn't threaten but put out a word of caution,' Sri Sri Ravi Shankar clarifies on 'Syria' remark

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who has been facing severe backlash for his recently made Syria remark clarified his stance saying that he did not threaten anyone but put out a word of caution with respect to the Ram Mandir verdict. 

"Woh dhamki thodi na hai, woh caution hai," noted the Art of Living founder who was previously reported saying that "Yahan shanti rehne dijiye. Hamare desh ko Syria jaise nahi banana chahiye".

On Monday, the Art of Living founder, in an interview with a leading television channel, had said that any delay in resolving the Ram temple issue could result in a Syria-like situation in India.

"If the Ram Mandir issue is not solved, we will have a Syria in India," Ravi Shankar said during the interview. 

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's Syria remark was slammed by various leaders who called it "provocative".

He has been involved in solving the disputed Ram Mandir and Ayodhya issue since the past one year.
