The country can witness a three-hour-long partial lunar eclipse when the earth will move between the sun and the moon.
India will be able to see the partial lunar eclipse on July 17 beginning at 1:31am.
The Moon will enter penumbra on Wednesday around 12.12 am, after which the moon will enter umbra at 1:31am. The maximum of partial lunar eclipse 2019 will be witnessed around 3am.

The celestial phenomenon will also be visible to South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
It is a good opportunity for all the skywatchers as the next lunar eclipse will be visible on May 26, 2021.
Unlike the solar eclipse, the lunar eclipse is completely safe to view with the naked eye.
