The actress reportedly met Akshay through a common friend in 2013 and fell in love.
According to a source quoted in a daily, "Surveen and Akshay got married in 2015, with only family and a handful of industry friends in attendance. It was Surveen's dream to have a white wedding in a chapel located in a picturesque castle and Italy seemed like an apt choice. The couple was waiting for the right time to announce the wedding and had planned to do it in January 2018."
She was last seen starring in a short film titled "Chhuri" which is a very clever, witty take on fidelity and marriage. The film directed by Mansi Jain stars Tisca Chopra, Anurag Kashyap and Surveen Chawla.
A successful TV actress, Surveen will be seen in Ekta Kapoor's web series titled "Haq Se" alongside Rajeev Khandelwal which revolves around four sisters Meher, Jannat, Bano and Amal and focuses on their ambitions and dreams.
