Gobar Dhan Yojana aims to generate wealth through waste in rural areas, says PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Sunday through his monthly radio program, Mann Ki Baat.

In 41st edition of Mann ki Baat radio address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Gobar Dhan Yojana aims to generate wealth for farmers through compost and will lead to job generation in rural areas. 

Modi urged women in rural areas to become a part of an initiative for "clean energy and green jobs" through the "Gobar Dhan".

PM Modi concluded his speech with Holi greetings to people across the country. 

Holi gives the message of spreading peace, brotherhood & unity among all. It is because it is a day of burning evil hence the importance of Holika Dahan as strong as the importance of colours on this festival.
