Meanwhile, police on its official Twitter handle also informed that a gunfight broke out in the village. "Encounter has started at #Chanjmullah area of Handwara. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow," police tweeted.
Earlier in an encounter in South Kashmir Pulwama security forces killed two terrorists after 14 hours firefight arms and ammunition also recovered. The identity of killed terrorists is being ascertained.
