The Jharkhand police have shot down four guerrilla Maoists in the state's Palamu district on Monday.

The four killed include a militant Bimal Yadav who was carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh.

The gun battle, which lasted for over two hours, between the police force and Maoists began at Marunga hill after the militants found the security personnel in the area.
