Former director of the pharmaceutical firm Ranbaxy Manjit Singh was on Wednesday arrested by the The Economic Offence Wing of the Delhi Police for selling an expensive property which was mortgaged.

Manjit Singh was remanded to 14-days judicial custody after being produced before the Patiala House court.

The former Ranbaxy director signed a Rs 254 crore property deal with a mobile manufacturer and Chief Managing Director of Optiemus Infracom Ashok Gupta.

The property was located in Delhi's Prithviraj Road.
