For those who are in a shock after hearing the news of Irrfan Khan's medical condition, let us tell you that it is nothing related to brain cancer or a tumour as some might call it.

In a statement posted on Twitter earlier today, Irrfan announced that he is suffering from a NeuroEndocrine tumour which if medically put is as a rare condition that can occur anywhere in the body. Most neuroendocrine tumours occur in the lungs, appendix, small intestine, rectum and pancreas. They can be non-cancerous or malignant.

In Irrfan's case, we don't know the stage of the condition he is suffering or whether it is malignant or not. Read his full statement here.

His statement comes after days of speculation around his condition as Irrfan had posted about "suffering from a rare disease" which left the world in a chaos.
