Luv Ranjan's much-awaited romantic comedy "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety" which was earlier scheduled to release on February 9, has now been postponed to February 23.

The announcement was made by film trade analyst Taran Adarsh who tweeted on Sunday that "Padmaavat's" release on February 25 and subsequent postponement of Akshay Kumar's "PadMan" has initiated another series of pushing of release dates by filmmakers.

His tweet reads:

"PadMan" is now shifted to February 9 as "Padmaavat" director Sanjay Leela Bhansali requested Akshay Kumar to postpone the release of his film and Kumar agreed. The announcement was made via a joint press conference held by both Bhansali and Kumar.

"Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety" was already facing competition with Sidharth Malhotra's "Aiyaary" and now "PadMan" would prove to be too tricky for the film.

The film stars Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh in lead roles.
