Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt begin work for Ayan Mukerji's Bramhastra

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are pairing up together for the first time on the big screen for Ayan Mukerji's next Brahmastra. The two actors, along with the film's director are doing a recce at Tel Aviv, Israel where the crew will start filming from February onwards. 

Producer Karan Johar shared a photo of the trio on Twitter and said, "The new year begins with the prep of #BRAHMASTRA....the countdown of the epic journey of our film begins! Filming commences in February 2018! Ayan Mukerji helms this magical trilogy! @SrBachchan #ranbir @aliaa08 and an exciting ensemble!(sic)"

Alia too shared a photo on her Instagram page. 

The actress, in fact, has been prepping for the film for quite some time now. 

Brahmastra also features Amitabh Bachchan and is reportedly a futuristic film. While the story of the film has been kept under wraps, the film's director had earlier spoken to PTI and said, "In its core, it has romance as an element but it has got a new flavour to it. It's a huge project and lot of people have faith in it and in me so I need to deliver for my own career, for the producer, the actors and the entire crew."

This is Karan and Ayan's third film together. The filmmaker has made Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani earlier for Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
