After much controversy, Padmaavat released worldwide on January 25th. Though some of the states refused to screen the film fearing violence and protest, the film has opened to packed theaters in most parts of the country.

This is Sanjay Leela Bhansali-Deepika Padukone- Ranveer Singh's third film together and second Rs 100 crore film. The trio's Bajiaro Mastani also had crossed Rs 100 crore mark back in 2015.
