The new year started on a positive note for Bollywood as Salman starrer "Tiger Zinda Hai" crossed the Rs 250 crore mark on December 31, 2017.

The action-thriller gave a much-needed relief to the Hindi film industry after the previous year saw some major, big-budget films flop at the box office.

"Tiger Zinda Hai" completed two successful weekends as director Ali Abbas Zafar's venture made its way past the Rs 250 cr milestone.

Film-trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Twitter profile on the first day of the new year compiling the box-office figures of the film.

Taran also tweeted the major commercial feats that "Tiger Zinda Hai" achieved during the course of its run in theatres.

"Tiger Zinda Hai" is the sequel to the 2012 Kabir Khan directorial "Ek Tha Tiger" with the same lead cast, Salman and Katrina. The currently-running film has been produced by Yash Raj Films.
