Here's proof that Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is good friends with Pakistan's Mahira Khan!

Amid all the negative news of celebrities jealous of the creativity and success of their peers, a photo made our morning today. 

Two beauties, Sonam Kapoor and Mahira Khan shared a photo of them hugging it out at Cannes right before they were to walk the red carpet on their first day this year. For Sonam, it was like coming back to her roots as she showed everyone -- who was a little too disappointed with her choice of clothes during her wedding -- that she is indeed, the true diva. Meanwhile, Mahira debuted this year at Cannes red carpet. 

In the photo, Sonam can be seen embracing Mahira in a warm hug as the latter smiles. Both are dressed in their official clothes for the red carpet appearance. 

While Sonam opted to dress as a desi bride on her first outing this year at Cannes, Mahira chose a midnight blue coloured gown with pleats at the bust, side-swept hair on one shoulder, red lips and a beautiful neckpiece. 

Sonam recently got married to her businessman boyfriend Anand Ahuja. The couple had to postpone their honeymoon owing to Sonam's work commitments including Cannes.
