Amitabh Bachchan falls ill on sets of 'Thugs of Hindostan', doctors rush to Jodhpur

75-year-old veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is reported to have fallen ill today. 

The legendary Bollywood actor was shooting for Thugs of Hindostan in Jodhpur when news of his bad health was reported. A team of doctors from Mumbai were rushed to the city.

He confirmed the news via his blog post on March 13, 5 am writing: "I am getting my team of doctors in tomorrow morning to fiddle around with my body and set me up again .. I will rest and keep informed in the process .." Read the full post here.

Officials at Ajit Bhawan Palace, the hotel where Amitabh is staying, have confirmed that he was shooting late last night and may be fatigued because of working late hours. The crew of Thugs of Hindostan was scheduled to leave Jodhpur Tuesday evening around 5 pm but hotel sources confirmed that the departure had to be rescheduled. 

Thugs of Hindostan in an upcoming action-adventure film written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

It was reported earlier last month that the film's shooting is nearing completion as only the last leg of the shooting remains, which will wrap up in Rajasthan by the end of March. 

Thugs of Hindostan will see Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan share screen space for the first time together.
