Akshaye Khanna to play Sanjay Baru in the screen adaptation of 'The Accidental Prime Minister'

This one of looks promising. Akshaye Khanna, who impressed one and all with his cop act in Ittefaq last year, will play author Sanjay Baru in the screen adaptation of the best selling novel 'The Accidental Prime Minister'

The team including Anupam Kher and Khanna, will start filming the project from March 31.

Baru was the media advisor to former prime minister Manmohan Singh. Kher is reportedly playing Manmohan Singh's character in the film.

"Exciting days ahead as Akshaye joins the crew. 'The Accidental Prime Minister' begins shooting on March 31 with a fantastic ensemble led by Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna," Hansal Mehta, who is working on the screenplay of the film, wrote on Twitter.

Debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte is directing the film, produced by Bohra Brothers.
