2 terrorists killed in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore town on Friday.

The gunbattle between terrorists and security forces started at Baharmpora village of the Sopore town.

The encounter was carried out against the Terrorists by the State Police and 22 Rashtriya Rifles.

The terrorists were initially trapped inside the house during the encounter.

A day before, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The attack comes days after terrorists opened fire on security forces, deployed at the Kandahar general road in Maidanpora area of Kupwara district. They also snatched an INSAS rifle from a security official.

The security forces have launched a search and cordon operation in the valley.
