The president of a government employee body who met with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was suspended by it for alleged breach of trust.

Hours, after the meeting with Kejriwal, the Government of NCT Employees Welfare Association said DN Singh was suspended from the post of president of the association.

"DN Singh has been suspended as president of the association and he is not authorised to issue any statement on the behalf of it," a statement by the body said.

The association in its meeting noted "breach of trust" by Singh for "arbitrarily" meeting the political executives against its decision, it said.

Singh earlier in the day had led a delegation of the Joint Council of All Employee Organisations that met the chief minister.

The Joint Forum of Delhi Government Employees, that includes the IAS cadre, also condemned Singh for meeting the Chief Minister.

"The Joint Forum strongly condemns individuals who have been trying to spread malicious campaign about the Forum having diluted its stance on dignity of government servants," it said in a statement.

The Forum members in a meeting today reiterated its stand to continue the protest by working through only written means of communication, seeking a "specific and public", written apology from the chief minister and deputy chief minister over the alleged assault on the chief secretary Anshu Prakash.

The chief secretary was allegedly assaulted by AAP MLAs at Kejriwal's residence in a meeting called on intervening night of February 19-20. Police has registered a case on complaint of Prakash and arrested two MLAs and seized hard disc of CCTV surveillance system installed at CM residence.
