A day after the TDP moved a no-confidence motion against the BJP led NDA government,  DMK working president MK Stalin from Tamil Nadu has issued a written statement to state chief minister Edapadi Palaniswamy urging him to support the no-confidence motion.

The no-confidence motions, moved by YSR Congress and the TDP, were the first in the nearly four-year rule of the BJP-led NDA alliance.

The parties moved the motion over their demand of special status for Andhra Pradesh, an issue which led the TDP to quit the ruling alliance on Friday.

Congress, TMC leader Mamata Banerjee, CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had also raised their support for the no-confidence motion against NDA.
