On January 12 this year, four senior-most judges of the Supreme Court called a press conference and said the situation in the top court was 'not in order' and many 'less than desirable' things have taken place.

Former Supreme Court judge Kurian Joseph on Friday said that he doesn't regret the controversial January 12 press conference by four Supreme Court judges, adding that he did it consciously as there was "no option left."

Joseph's comments came a day after his retirement. He further noted that the judiciary cannot interfere as far as the mandate of the Constitution of India is not violated.
