As the cases have been on a rise in the capital, social distancing during grocery shopping has become essential. Delhites seem to understand this as hundreds of people at Ghazipur market of wholesale fruit and vegetable were seen abiding by social distancing norms.

Everyone in the market, from customers to cart pullers, was seen wearing masks and following all precautions of social distancing,

Delhi is still a red zone and has recorded 384 new cases, taking the total tally to 4,122.  Delhi's Health Minister, Satyendra Jain, also warned the people that the virus will affect our lives for some more time and the public will have to learn live with it and modify our habits accordingly.

Jasmeet Singh, DCP Delhi (East) told ANI that the footfall has increased in the market as all others have been shut due to coronavirus lockdown.

"Footfall has increased here as several other markets have closed. We have set up channelizers here and people are being sent inside through them. Separate lanes have been made for cycle carts and mini-trucks. Due to these measures, the situation has improved," he said.
