Delhi: Temperature dips to lowest maximum in over two decades

The national capital on Tuesday recorded its lowest maximum temperature in 22 years.

At 12.2 degrees, Delhi experienced its lowest maximum temperature with a forecast of cold conditions to continue for another day. 

"A fresh western disturbance will obstruct the flow of icy winds from the north by 19th. Temperatures will rise," Mahesh Palawat, Vice president (Climate Change and Meteorology) of Skymet Weather tweeted out.

On Wednesday, Delhi woke up to a cold morning with the temperature hovering around 7 degrees.
