Delhi rickshaw puller's son to train at same Jamaica academy as Usain Bolt

16-year-old Nisar Ahmed will soon be heading to the Racers Track Club in Kingston, Jamaica, home of athletics superstar Usain Bolt. 

Nisar will train there for a month. 

At the recent Delhi State Athletics meet, the Government Boys Secondary School, Ashok Vihar student broke two national under-16 records.

He shaved 0.02 seconds off the 100m record, running it in 11 seconds. He ran the 200 metres in 22.08 seconds. 

Nisar is also called "Delhi's Usain Bolt".  

Nisar hails from the Bada Bagh slums in the capital's Azadpur area.

His father is a rickshaw puller, his mother a domestic maid. They could not attend the meet at which he broke the two national records, he said, because of a lack of money. 

Nisar is going to Kingston courtesy the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) and sports management company Anglian Medal Hunt who have picked 14 athletes from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Odisha, and Delhi in the 15-18 age group to train at Racers Track Club.
