Delhi records over 5,000 coronavirus cases; Mumbai records 635 new cases, 26 deaths

Coronavirus in Delhi shot up to 5,000 cases with the total number of cases surging to 5,104 with 206 cases reported.

The total number of cases due to the virus rose to 15,525 in the state. Mumbai reported 635 new coronavirus cases with 26 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 387 in the city. The number of infected cases has now risen to 9,758.

In Madhya Pradesh, 107 people were infected with the virus with the total number of cases rising to 3,049. The death toll in the state has now risen to 176.

The Uttar Pradesh government reported 118 new patients were confirmed with the virus since Monday evening with the number of positive cases rising to 2,880.

The state government said 987 patients were discharged with 56 people having lost their lives due to the virus.
