AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal has been granted bail by Delhi high court in the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash alleged assault case, according to news agency ANI.

Anshu Prakash had alleged that he was roughed up by AAP MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Parkash Jarwal during a meeting at the Chief Minister's residence after midnight on February 20.

While Parkash Jarwal was arrested by the Delhi Police on February 21, Amanatullah Khan surrendered at the Jamia Nagar Police Station. Khan, however, had claimed innocence while surrendering.

Khan moved a bail plea in the Delhi High Court on Tuesday.

The Police have filed an FIR on a complaint from Prakash under various sections, including 120B (criminal conspiracy), 186 (obstructing a public servant from performing the duty) and 353 (assault on public servant).

Parkash Jarwal and Ajay Dutt, AAP MLAs from Deoli and Ambedkar Nagar respectively, had claimed the bureaucrat made casteist remarks. They have lodged a complaint against him with the Delhi Police and the National Commission for Scheduled Castes.
