A joint forum of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Association Monday accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia of playing a role in the alleged assault of Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.

While addressing a media gathering, Pooja Joshi said that instead of apologising for the incident, both Kejriwal and Sisodia are in denial.

The association also demanded a written apology from the chief minister.

Prakash was allegedly assaulted by two Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA's at the premises of Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal.

However, the accused AAP ministers surrendered themselves to the police and were further remanded to police custody.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Police informed the court that the CCTV footage of the assault on Anshu Prakash was tampered with and therefore has been sent for examination to Forensic Science Laboratory.

Since the alleged attack on the chief secretary, Delhi's officers have not been attending meetings of the chief minister and his cabinet colleagues, demanding that Kejriwal apologise for the incident.

The Delhi Administrative Subordinate Services meanwhile have gone on strike.
