Decision to quit NDA is for interest of Karnataka: Chandrababu Naidu
Follow UsAddressing the Karnataka assembly on Friday Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu said his decision to quit the NDA was for the interest of the state.
He added that he withdrew the support of his ministers from the party because the last budget of the NDA did not have anything for Karnataka.
He said, "We've quit NDA. I took the decision, not for selfish reasons, but for interests of Andhra Pradesh. For 4-years I made all efforts, went to Delhi 29 times, asked many times. This was centre's last budget and there was no mention of Andhra Pradesh, we had to pull our ministers out of cabinet".
He said that the government did not fulfil the "bifurcation promises".
He said "Bifurcation promises are not yet fulfilled. Had special status been included in the Act in the Lok Sabha then, this situation would not have arisen".
Accusing Union Minister Arun Jaitley of doing injustice with the state he said "Sentiment is very powerful and Telangana was also carved out for sentiment".

He said his party has survived many crises and will survive this too. He added that he had written many letters to the centre, but nothing materialised.
