<p>The due date for filing IT returns and Audit Reports was September 30.</p>

<p>The government had earlier asked those&nbsp;filing their IT returns to quote their Aadhaar number or Aadhaar enrolment number.</p>

<p>On Thursday (August 31), the government extended the date for linking Aadhaar with the Personal Account Number&nbsp;upto December 31&nbsp;to facilitate ease of compliance by taxpayers.&nbsp;</p>
