COVID-19: Maharashtra Police reports 131 new cases; Karnataka records 75 new cases

As the coronavirus cases continued to rise in the country with 6,566 new cases nationwide, Odisha recorded 67 new cases with the total number of cases rising to 1,660 in the state.

Maharashtra Police said that 131 more COVID-19 cases were reported in the forces, with two police officials scumming to the virus. The total number of cases in the state police has risen to 2,095 with the death toll climbing to 22.

Rajasthan on Thursday recorded 131 new cases with taking the total number of cases in the state to 7,947. Six people died due to the virus in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 179.

In Andhra Pradesh 54 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the last 24 hours taking the number of cases in the state to 2,841. The state health department said that number of cases has risen to 1,958 with 59 deaths reported in the state.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka government declared that the number of coronavirus cases had risen to 2,493 in the state with 75 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. The death toll in the state due to the virus now stands at 47.

The Himachal Pradesh government said that there were 201 active COVID-19 cases in the state with 276 total cases. Five people have died due to the virus in the state.
