COVID-19: Delhi reports 206, Mumbai records 393 cases in 24 hours

India's national capital recorded 206 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of virus cases in Delhi to 3,314.

The Delhi government said 1,078 people have recovered from the virus. The death toll due COVID-19 in the capital has now reached 54.

Gujarat on Tuesday reported 226 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the number of COVID-19 cases in the state to 3,774.

In Dehradun, one person tested positive for coronavirus with the total number of cases rising to 52 in Uttarakhand..

"In view of the coronavirus pandemic, Centre has given permission for IT professionals to work from home till July 31," Karnataka deputy chief minister Ashwath Narayan said.

Pune which has been hit hard due to the virus reported three deaths and 143 new coronavirus cases. The total number of cases in the district has now risen to 1,491 with the death toll climbing to 83.

Meanwhile, Mumbai reported 393 coronavirus cases today taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 5,982 in India's financial capital.
