Story highlights

The Congress' is expected to name either Sachin Pilot or Ashok Gehlot as its chief ministerial candidate in Rajasthan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today that the Congress is so confused by its chief ministerial candidates in Rajasthan, that the party itself will fuse.

Modi was speaking at a campaign rally in Alwar. Rajasthan goes to the polls next month on December 7, and the results will be out on December 11.

There has been a fair amount of confusion in Rajasthan over whether

"Aaj kal har gali mohalle mai mukhyamantriyo ko ghuma rahe hain, jaha jaye ye hamara Mukhyamantri, vahaa jaye vo humara Mukhyamantri. Unki puri party Mukhyamantri pe itni confuse hai, neta itna confuse hai, to party fuse hogi nahi to kya hoga," ANI quoted Modi as saying.

Modi also mentioned Ayodhya, where the VHP is holding a massive "Dharam Sabha" today which it says as many as 300,000 people may attend.

The Supreme Court is also hearing petitions on the Ram Temple, which the Congress has said should not be heard before the 2019 elections. In Alwar, Modi asked whether it was appropriate for the Congress to drag politics into justice.

"Jab Ayodhya ka case chal raha tha, Congress ke neta Rajya Sabha ke sadasya kehte hain ki 2019 tak case mat chalao kyunki 2019 mein chunaav hai. Desh ke nyayatantra ko is prakaar se rajneeti mein ghaseetna uchit hai kya?" Modi asked.

And finally he took a potshot at Congress president Rahul Gandhi saying that he was not surprised by what Congress people might say about him — Modi said they abuse his mother, talk about his caste — but that it is the "naamdaar" Rahul who has told them to say it.
