Siddhartha was found dead in the Netravathi river in the coastal city of Mangalore on Wednesday. His body was found by fishermen at 6.30am near Hoige Bazaar, a short distance away from the bridge where he went missing.
Indian coffee baron was credited with the opening and expansion of the country's first coffee chain Cafe Coffee Day (CCD).
The very first outlet was opened at Bengaluru's Brigade Road in 1996. CCD was India's first food and beverages outlet in India to offer high-speed internet to its customers.
The 58-year-old businessman was the son-in-law of former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna.
Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and BJP leader Pralhad Joshi had on Wednesday said that an inquiry will be conducted into Siddhartha's death.
