Bulandshahr mob violence: 2 police officials transferred

In connection with the mob violence in Bulandshahr earlier this week, the Uttar Pradesh authorities have transferred two police officials "for their failure in responding in time to the situation".

The two police officials transferred are the Syana Circle Officer Satya Prakash Sharma and the In-charge of Chingravathi police chowki Suresh Kumar.
While Syana Circle Officer Satya Prakash Sharma was transferred to Police Training College Moradabad, the in-charge of Chingravathi police chowki Suresh Kumar was transferred to Lalitpur.
The action was taken after a high-level meeting was presided over by the Director General of Police (DGP) OP Singh, who had handed over the report to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
