Wishes pour in on social media for Prime Minister Modi as he celebrates his 69th birthday on Tuesday.

Several hashtags related to the PM's birthday started making it to the top 10 India trends on Twitter as his supporters and well-wishers flooded the social media with their best wishes.

People from different fraternity across the country came forward to extend their wishes to the prime minister. Many hailed him for his different achievements.

In a tweet on social media President Ram Nath Kovind said, "Best wishes and greetings to Prime Minister @narendramodi on his birthday. 
May you be blessed with good health, happiness and many more years of dedicated service to the nation #PresidentKovind".

"Warm birthday wishes to the Prime Minister Mr. @narendramodi ji, the country`s most popular leader, a symbol of strong will, decisive leadership and tireless hard work. A new India emerging under your leadership has made a mark in the world as a strong, secure and trustworthy nation," Amit Shah tweeted.

Amit Shah added in another post, "To make the life of every Indian easy, your hard work and determination is an inspiration for us. It is a privilege to be a partner with you in national building as a public representative, a worker and a countryman. I pray to God for your healthy and long life".

"The Parliament and the MOTHER have been given the same status, only bowed their heads in front of them, we are proud of such a Prime Minister, Narendra Modiji is the honour of the country. Happy birthday to the Prime Minister @narendramodi," former cricketer and current BJP MP Gautam Gambhir tweeted.

While netizens are showering their love on Prime Minister Narendra Modi through social media, people from Ahmedabad gave a warm welcome to  PM Modi on his arrival in the city on Monday night.

Outside the airport, the atmosphere was euphoric with people raising slogans and cheering for the Prime Minister.

PM Modi also acknowledged his supporters and waved at them from the front seat of his vehicle.

Delhi BJP unit also celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s birthday at India gate on midnight today.

Earlier on Monday, BJP workers in Bhopal had cut a 69 feet long cake to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s 69 th birthday.
