Became diplomat over love for India: Chinese envoy to India

China's Ambassador to India, Luo Zhaohui, on Saturday said that his "love for India" prompted him to become a diplomat. The envoy, along with his delegation, was on a visit to a University campus in Punjab.
"I have a very long connection with India and my only reason for becoming a diplomat was my love for India. It is my second term as a diplomat in India and my wife has also studied her doctorate from India," Zhaohui noted.
 
The Chinese ambassador to India was also accompanied by his wife Jiang Yili. Zhaohui was on his first visit to Punjab.

On Friday, the envoy visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar and talked about the successful resolution of the Doklam issue between both the countries. 
Zhaohui spoke to media sharing that a consensus has been reached by both the countries. He added that he is happy with the state of Indo-Sino bilateral relations.
"That page has already been turned over. We have reached a consensus to look forward. So I am happy and optimistic for our bilateral relations," Zhaohui told media.
