BCCI awaits anti-corruption unit's report on Mohammed Shami
Follow UsAfter losing the annual contract of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Indian pacer Mohammed Shami may lose Delhi Daredevil’s contract too for the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Shami, who is going through a difficult time in his personal life, has been accused of match-fixing.
The pacer’s estranged wife Hasin Jahan, who accused him of torturing and having extra-marital affairs, claimed that her husband took money for match-fixing from a Pakistani girl.
Taking serious note of the allegation, the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) directed the BCCI to carry out an investigation into the matter. The investigation report is due in a week.
Speaking on the matter, BCCI acting president CK Khanna said any decision will be taken only after ACU's report.

Shami, on his part, rubbished all allegations levelled against him made by his wife.
The pacer said he is ready to face any probe and if found guilty should be hanged.
The 27-year-old right-hand fast bowler was a vital cog in India’s recent historic victory against South Africa in Johannesburg, returning with a five-wicket haul.
