J&K: Two terrorists killed in Baramulla encounter, arms and ammunition recovered

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday, PTI reported quoting police.

Acting on a tip-off about the presence of militants there, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir.     

The militants fired at the search party which led to a gunfight, the report added. 

Two militants have been killed, a police official said adding, the operation was going on. The identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained. 

Police also recovered arms and ammunition from the encounter site, police said.
