Arvind Kejriwal writes to Nitin Gadkari regretting 'unverified allegations'

Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressing regret for ''unverified allegations" made against him. 

Kejriwal, in his letter, wrote that he has nothing against Gadkari and that he regrets the incident.

"I have nothing personal against you. I regret the same. Let us put the incident behind us and bring the court proceedings to a closure," his letter read.

Kejriwal and Gadkari have also filed a joint application in Delhi's Patiala House Court to withdraw the defamation case.

Nitin Gadkari had filed a criminal defamation complaint against the Arvind Kejriwal alleging that Kejriwal had defamed him by including his name in the party's list of "India's most corrupt". 

Gadkari later told the court that he will resolve the matter if Kejriwal agrees to apologise and withdraws his statement.
