In 2013, Sinha had broken the world record by becoming the first woman amputee to climb Mount Everest.

Sinha has climbed five peaks including Mt Everest, Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Ebrus, Mt Kosciuszko and Mt Aconcagua.

She was pushed out of a running train in 2011 while attempting to resist a gang of dacoits. One of her legs had to be amputated following the incident.
