Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has cited reports indicating that a radical outfit has been trying to expand its network in regions of Assam and Manipur.

He said some areas of the northeast are vulnerable to radicalisation and accessible to jihadist and terrorist activities from across the border.

He replied the answer to a written question.

He said that the security and intelligence agencies were aware of the threat of radicalisation in the area and were taking measures to counter it. He added that such radical activities were being closely monitored.
