With a team of about six thousand people, social activist Anna Hazare has started the indefinite fast demanding a competent Lokpal and better production cost for farm produce in Delhi.

The hunger strike has been organised in the iconic Ramlila Maidan in Delhi where the anti-corruption crusader began his strike seven-year ago.

Anna has been fighting for setting up of the Lokpal at the Centre and Lokayuktas in the states.

He is also demanding implementation of the Swaminathan Commission report to address the agrarian distress.

Accusing the central government of not alloting space, Hazare said that he will fight for his demands until his last breath.

He also refused to accept last minute overtures from Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to call off his hunger strike and said he will call off the strike only after Modi government comes with a proposal to address demands for Lokpal.

He also said that he would carry his " Satyagraha from jail" if he is not given space in New Delhi.
