<p>At least 17 people have been rescued while 23 people are still missing.&nbsp</p>

<p>National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams from Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams from Kakinada & Visakhapatnam have been deployed for rescue operations. More details are awaited.&nbsp</p>

<p>Last Friday, passengers on a river cruise to Papikondalu Hills in Andhra Pradesh had a narrow escape after the boat caught fire.</p>

<p>The driver of the boat successfully steered the boat to safety and passengers were rescued.&nbsp</p>

<p>The double-decker boat was carrying at least 80 passengers to Papikondalu Hills. Reports suggest a short circuit triggered the fire.&nbsp</p>
