Air India Express flight IX 374 from Doha stands cancelled. New schedule has not been released yet.
Indian government, along with Air India and Indian Navy, has started the biggest repatriation operation to bring back the Indians stranded abroad.
A lot of stranded Indians have been brought back home from Doha, Singapore, Kuwait, the UK and the US, and many more countries.
However, Air India's spokesperson announced that the Air India Express flight IX 374 from Doha which was earlier scheduled to leave Doha at 3:35 pm on Sunday and reach Thiruvananthapuram by 10:45 pm is cancelled.
The revised schedule will be updated later. The reason of the cancellation has not been disclosed yet.
It was also announced on Sunday that five Air India pilots tested positive for coronavirus. These pilots fly Boeing 787 planes.
The airlines had asked its pilots to undertake coronavirus test before they operate such flights.
However, as the pilots were tested one after another, the sources have revealed that it might also be a case of faulty test kits.
These pilots had not flown any flight since the last three weeks. "These pilots had operated cargo flights to China prior to April 20," an official said.
