After sealing its borders, Rajasthan reports 51 COVID-19 cases; death toll rises to 264

After deciding to close its borders for a week, Rajashtan on Thursday reported 51 coronavirus cases and five deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases in the state to 11,651, including 264 deaths.

The state health department said that 8,596 patients have recovered from the virus.

The chief medical officer of CRPF tested positive for coronavirus, he has been shifted to a private hospital in Delhi. The total number of coronavirus cases in forces now stands at 544 with four deaths.

Meanwhile, Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain said that 42 laboratories are functional in Delhi, however. seven of them were stopped as they were delaying test results. "All labs have to give test results within 24 hours," the Delhi health minister asserted.

In Himachal Pradesh the number of cases has risen to 458 with 182 active cases and six deaths due to the virus, the state health department informed while in Andhra Pradesh there were 135 new cases taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,261 including 1641 active infection cases.

Bihar on Thursday reported 109 coronavirus cases taking the total number of cases to 5,807, the state health department said.
