Fake degree row: ABVP asks Delhi University student leader Ankiv Baisoya to resign till probe is over

Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the students wing of the RSS, has asked Delhi University Student Union president Ankiv Baisoya to step down from his post and also relieved him of all his responsibilities in the organisation till an inquiry is over in the alleged fake degree case.
Ankiv Baisoya won the DUSU elections in September, 2018. Soon after, the National Students Union of India (NSUI), the students wing of the Congress, and other student organizations started raising questions about the authenticity of Ankiv’s degree.

The registrar of Thiruvalluvar University in Tamil Nadu in October 2018 wrote to the state’s principal secretary of education stating that Delhi University Students’ Union President Ankiv Baisoya had never been a student of the university as he claimed to be.
