AAP MLAs withdraw plea seeking stay on Election Commission's recommendation for their disqualification
20 AAP MLAs, who were disqualified as Delhi Assembly MLAs, have withdrawn their plea from Delhi high court seeking a stay on Election Commission's recommendation for their disqualification.
AAP MLAs' counsel said that their plea has become infructuous as the President has accepted EC's recommendation and a notification disqualifying them has been issued. However, counsel told the Delhi high court that he will file an appeal after examining President's order disqualifying 20 MLAs in office of profit case.
The AAP MLAs withdrew their pleas a day after the president of India, Ram Nath Kovind, approved the disqualification of the MLAs following EC's recommendation.
