75 Maharashtra Police personnel affected with virus, cases rise to over 1,900

Odisha saw a spike in coronavirus cases with 76 new cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases in the state to 1,593 along with 853.

Maharashtra Police said that 75 police personnel have tested positive for coronavirus with the total number of cases in the forces rising to 1,964.

The police said that 20 of its officials had died due to the virus with 1095 cases which were still active and 849 personnel were cured.

Odisha saw a spike in coronavirus cases with 76 new cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases in the state to 1,593 along with 853. The state health department said that 733 patients had recovered from the virus. Seven people have died due to the virus in Odisha.

Rajasthan reported 109 new COVID-19 cases with the number of cases rising to 7,645, the state health department said. Two deaths were reported in the state in the last 24 hours due to the virus.

In Uttar Pradesh, 277 new coronavirus cases were reported today, state officials said with the number of cases rising to  2,790. The death toll due to the virus stands at 178.

Uttarakhand reported 38 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday with the number of cases rising to 438. Four people have died due to the virus in the state.
