39 Indians missing in Iraq killed: MPs continue protesting, Sushma not allowed to speak in Lok Sabha

Sushma Swaraj announced in the Rajya Sabha that all the 39 Indians who were kidnapped in Iraq are dead.

She said that the mortal remains of the labourers were sent to Baghdad and for verification of the bodies the DNA samples of the relatives were sent there. She said that the DNA samples of 38 people have matched entirely with their relatives and the DNA sample of the 39th person matched 70 per cent.
Minister of state for external affairs, General VK Singh, will go to Iraq to bring back mortal remains, the minister said.
The external affairs minister, however, couldn’t make a statement in the Lok Sabha as loud slogans were shouted by the opposition members when she sought the Speaker’s permission to speak on the issue. The House was adjourned till Wednesday.
