3 terrorists killed during infiltration bid close to LoC in Naushera sector

At least three terrorists were killed while attempting to infiltrate in Naushera Sector of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

''On May 28, six to seven terrorists while attempting to infiltrate in Naushera Sector of Jammu and Kashmir, close to the Line of Control, were detected by Indian troops who in a swift operation eliminated three while at least one was seriously injured, said Nagrota Corps officials. 

The Operation which lasted for four days resulted in the recovery of a cache of weapons, including two  AK 47 rifles, one M16 A2 rifle, one pistol, one UBGL as well as ammunition and grenades.

Pakistan markings on eatables and a few other items indicate complicity of Pakistan, said Nagrota Corps officials. 

Meanwhile, a terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire in an ongoing encounter at Saimoh in Tral belt of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. 

“One terrorist has been killed in an ongoing exchange of fire so far while as one to two more are believed to be trapped,” a top official said.  

Kashmir police tweeted about the encounter.
